#320-323

I got SO excited when I saw this little guy the other day. He was the first one we’ve seen at the house.

Friday evening, Kale and I had to go get Bosley some dog food and I was on the lookout for ummm…a dog fannie pack?? I just wanted something I could put on him that I could put my phone in when we go on walks. Umm…I felt COMPLETELY ridiculous laughing out loud in the middle of the aisle when I saw this.

Maybe I’m just a bad momma for letting him sit next to me in the front seat?!?

Yesterday I had to work and there was nothing going on so I got to finish Redeeming Love. Seriously…SUCH a good book!!!

and today Kale and I worked in the yard alllllllll day long. We are just pooped!! When I went to the garden place this morning, I absolutely fell in love with this!

I WILL have one of these on my patio one day!! Just gorgeous.

Since I can remember, I have always looked forward to having my own flower garden so I have been so excited about Spring time in our new house. I am so proud of the work we did today! My absolute favorite are my Hydrangeas! I can’t wait until they GROW GROW GROW! (As long as the deer don’t get them first!)

Here are the before and afters.

This is where I got attacked by craaaaaazy ants. OUCH!!

I felt a little silly afterward because I was crying. Right in the front yard… Those little turds just wouldn’t stop biting me Sad smile Sad smile Sad smile All better now, I just still have the bumps all over my feet and forearms. Battle wounds of a hard worker! haha

I can’t wait until all our plants grow and are in full bloom!!!!!

I can't believe you were excited about that lizard. Ick.

I LOVE Hydrangeas!! Love them.

I'm sorry about your ant bites, but y'all did such a good job. Hope it was worth it!

I got tickled at Jacquie's "Ick" comment -- I kinda feel the same way when the lizards are too close to the door. I enjoy them more when they're waaaaay out in the yard(!) LOL!

SO sorry about the ant bites. They can be PAINful! :( They can get on you in a hurry when you're working in the yard!!

Your landscaping is very pretty; I hope your flowers grow and bloom, so you can post more pics later. :)

Just so you know, God forbid that you are ever rear-ended or in a more serious car accident but your dog will basically become a projectile object. Even in a minor accident, a dog riding unrestrained in a car can slam pretty hard into the back of front seats, the dashboard, or worse--windshields. The small dog that you saw in the carrier in the pet store is particularly prone--the smaller the dog and lighter the dog, the greater the risk of the animal becoming a projectile in a car accident. You are NOT a bad pet owner. Thousands of pets are injured every year (sorry, my husband is a DVM, Phd who teaches in the Vet Med program at Penn State so this is kind of a pet issue--pun intended--for us) riding in cars. There is a new "tunnel"-like, flexible crate that goes in the backseat of a vehicle that dogs seem to like that is not as ridiculous looking as the carrier you saw. I've read your sweet blog for a while and I know that you would never want anything to happen to your dog because of some stupid OTHER driver's negligence (and that would be me, the lawyer, weighing in ;)).

Your flowers are very pretty! My all time fave is hydrangeas!

When I picked up Redeeming Love for the first time I could NOT put it down! I think I read it in about 3 days. :o) Anything by Francine Rivers is great! I'm reading her Lineage of Grace series right now.

You are going to have a great looking yard this year! Wish I could get mind looking good but the deer keep eating my azaleas and plants are too expensive to just be food for the deer!

Redeeming Love was probably one of my all-time-favoite books and I read alot!

Your yard looks GREAT! And I like those little lizards, too--we had one last year...I hope he comes back! I'm terrified of snakes but for some reason I think lizards are super cute.

Oh, and I got stung by ants last year at my in-laws house and it HURT...I think I cried. I had some sort of allergic reaction to the bites and had to take Benedryl. I remember the insides of my ears feeling like they were swelling shut and I was itching so bad. Like lizards, hate ants!!

Happy Spring-time!
