Honeymoon Greatness

umm..is it bad that this was my favorite part of the honeymoon??

okay-maybe not my FAVORITE! we had a wonderful time in Eureka Springs but the cake was delish...obviously!! and yes, the cake was the first thing i went for! i knew that we were going to have one and i made a bee-line to it when we walked in!! :)

Cake & Special Thanks

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to...our cake!!! I LOVED it!!! Fondant, no. But it sure was pretty! I love that it is so different!

Kale- Oh, baby. Thank you so much for telling me like a million times I looked beautiful!...and for almost crying!...and for THAT KISS!!! :) That was the happiest day of my life! I could never imagine being up there with any other man! You looked SO handsome and you made me so proud that day! You are absolutely amazing :)

Jacquie and Dave- Thank yall SOO much for EVERYTHING!!! The honeymoon, the planning buddy, the time and effort yall spent preparing, setting up and taking down..and being a caterer!

Dale- You have no idea how much it meant to us to have you there on our day! We are really looking forward to being in Houston with you. Yea, you’ll probably get sick of us!

Steve- Thank you so much for the wonderful ceremony! ...and for making everybody laugh because I couldn't talk!

Judy- Oh, boy! Thank you soooo much for letting us shop at your house! Everything looked beautiful together! And for all the great ideas..and the punch recipe! YUMM!

Jessica- I SO would not have survived that hair disaster without you! And umm I probably would have been scared to death if you wouldn't have been my neighbor the night before! It meant so much to me to have you there!

Charlsie- Thank you SO much for coming in right before the ceremony! Our talk kept my nerves under control!!! I'll remember that forever!

Kay- THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!! Without you, there's NO way I would have felt like a bride! You saved the day!!!

Gary, Jodi and Jessica- Pshew...I wonder if yall are going to have to work that hard when it's Jessica's turn!! Haha! Thanks for everything!! P.S. our sign was a wonderful surprise!!

Tyler- Thanks for being our chauffeur during my meltdown!! There's NO way I could have gotten us there and back!

Random guests...(there were so many of you, so I can't put names on this one)- Thank you so much for helping out with the caterer! Yall didn't have to do that but yall just jumped right in there for us!! Gracias.

Thanks to EVERYONE who shared our special day with us! It meant so much to us to have you all there! We love you all!!

Wedding Misfortune

So, because we don’t have any wedding pics yet, I decided I would be brave enough to let yall in on  a little set back we had that day. Thank goodness my wonderful MOH was with me or I would have just lost it…well, I did lose it, but it would have been BADDDDDDD!

This is what I asked for. Simple. Elegant. GORGEOUS!

This is what I got. Horrible. I laughed. I cried. I got called a German boy (thanks, Ty!)

Seriously…how did she feel okay with letting us leave like this!! I felt like everything but a BRIDE!!! Jessica was a cute, little 5 year old Ms. Texas and I was a little boy…walking down the aisle in a big white dress. Cool…

Jessica and I got in the car and laughed until we cried! Seriously! We got back to the house and I did it again. (Mostly cried that time!) Luckily, my MIL came to the rescue and frantically called her hairdresser who came to the rescue! The poor thing did what she could with the umm…20 minutes she had with the two of us! SHE SAVED THE DAY!!
